CONTRACTUAL AGREEMENT FOR THE USE OF UNIVERSITY’S OFFICIAL E-MAIL FACILITIES
PREAMBLE
This contractual agreement is a prerequisite for staff of the University interested in making use of the
e-mail facilities given to the University by Google.
Staff are expected to read carefully the contractual terms stated herein under.
This contractual agreement has been signed on behalf of the University by the Vice-Chancellor and the
Registrar in the presence of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor and the Chairman of Information and
Communication Technology Centre (ICTC)
Members of Staff are expected to read carefully the contractual terms stated below. If they consent to
these terms, they are expected to download and fill the form titled OFFICIAL AND/OR
PERSONALISED E-MAIL ADDRESS REQUEST FORM.
This separate form comes immediately after the contractual agreement. And this separate form should
be filled and forwarded FORMALLY to ICTC THROUGH their Heads of Departments. ICTC will
then send the official e-mail addresses to the staff concerned through their Heads of Departments or
Unit.
THIS PROCEDURE MUST BE STRICTLY ADHERED TO.
TERMS OF THE CONTRACTUAL AGREEMENT
WHEREAS
1.
Lagos State University is an Institution of Higher Learning established by law to train students
in various fields on both full time and part time basis.
2.
The University is desirous of providing her staff and students with e-mail addresses for
teaching; research and personal correspondence and
Google
a data based website organisation
with international reputation on the search engine has provided five thousand (5,000) e-mail
addresses for the University.
3.
The Subscriber is a staff / student of the University interested in benefiting from the University
and Google e-mail facilities at no cost.
4.
the parties have agreed to enter into a contractual agreement on the provision and use of the e-
mail addresses provided by Google.
